FADSS Accountability System Transition -- The Florida Association of District School Superintendents has released a DRAFT report outlining their recommendations for the transition of Florida's current accountability system to the new system under the Common Core State Standards. We have added the FADSS proposal to other documents already posted under Accountability and Testing.
FSBA President's Report -- In the October issue of FSBA President Patty Hightower's newletter, Ms. Hightower discusses her activities in recent weeks, including participation in the Governor's Education Accountability Summit and FSBA's recent meeting in Washington, D.C. to advocate for federal support for education.

Common Core State Standards -- FSBA has compilied a wealth of information on Common Core State Standards, including recent announcements from Governor Scott, Common Core Talking Points, informational webinars, and more. Mandated Ethics Training -- Links to information about the new requirement for school board members to complete 4 hours of ethics training on or before December 31, 2013 and every year thereafter. FSBA has arranged to deliver this training to our members beginning December 6, 2013 with a live 4-hour training session in Tampa followed by on-demand/on-line training available for the remainder of the year.
