Description: This training is specifically designed for all board chairs and vice chairs. This session includes the duties of the chair, meeting management skills and a refresher course on parliamentary procedure.
Chairing a school board requires strong leadership, diplomacy and the ability to pull together a team. FSBA’s training will help prepare the board chair for this important role. Participants will receive tips and techniques to build effective governance teams, conduct effective meetings and manage the agenda, while focusing efforts on improved student learning and achievement. This training is included in the full Annual Joint Conference registration fee as a benefit for our members.
