CS/SB 226 Athletic Trainers (Harrell)
Athletic Trainers; Revising the definition of the term “athletic trainer”; requiring certain licensees to maintain certification in good standing without lapse as a condition of renewal of their athletic trainer licenses; requiring that an athletic trainer work within a specified scope of practice; requiring the direct supervision of an athletic training student to be in accordance with rules adopted by the Board of Athletic Training.

HB 641 Funds for the Operation of Schools (Plasencia and Overdorf)
Revises annual allocation to school districts to include additional calculation of full-time equivalent membership for students who earn College Board Advanced Placement Capstone Diploma beginning in specified fiscal year.
HB 1059 Parental Rights (Grall)
Provides parental rights relating to a minor child’s education, upbringing, & health care; provides school district, health care practitioner, hospital requirements & specified penalties.
HB 7011 K-12 Student Athletes (Masullo)
Revises provisions relating to automated external defibrillators on school grounds, training related to CPR & defibrillators, FHSAA student athlete safety policies, & specified medical evaluations.
