Solution Share with School Board Members of Like-Size Districts

Facilitated by FSBA Leadership Consultants
School Board Members from districts of similar sizes will share innovative solutions, insights, and strategies for the challenges that Florida’s districts face. Building upon the foundation set by last year’s Meaningful Conversations and Collaboration series, this session shifts the focus to the sharing of solutions and practical applications. Responding to your feedback from our surveys, we’ve scheduled this session for earlier in the conference for maximum impact. We invite all districts to join their respective groups (or other groups if preferred) to discuss, collaborate, and gain insights from one another.

Opening Session: Thursday, June 6 | 8:45 AM

Keynote Speaker | Gregory Offner | Author, Workforce Strategist, and Award-winning Keynote Speaker

Tip Jar Culture

In today’s hyper-connected world, the pressures and expectations placed on School Board Members and Superintendents — coming from inside and outside the district — seem unrelenting. The Governance Team’s cohesion and culture impacts relationships at every level of education and ultimately impacts classroom culture and student achievement.

Retaining top talent is the chief concern of School Boards and Superintendents across the country, and keeping great board members, district staff, administrators, and educators from burning out—or worse, falling out of love with the profession — is more than just an imperative, it’s the foundation of a district, community, and country that is thriving. The stakes have never been higher.

In this one-of-a-kind keynote experience, author, workforce strategist, and award-winning speaker Gregory Offner offers attendees a toolkit they can use to reignite their team member’s commitment to the core mission of serving the students. By creating what he calls a Tip Jar Culture — Board Members and Superintendents will enable their teams to deliver exceptional results while feeling more fulfilled in the process. The outcome is highly inspired district leaders, who are better prepared to navigate the changes and challenges of today’s districts, with a renewed sense of passion and excitement for their responsibilities.
