Description: Leading effective board meetings requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to pull together members of a team. FSBA’s Chairmanship Academy prepares you for this new role. Board members receive tips, tactics, and techniques to build effective governance teams, conduct meaningful meetings, and fulfill governance responsibilities while focusing efforts to improve student learning and achievement.

This workshop will address:

  • The role of the board chair
  • Managing the agenda
  • Strategies to forge an effective team
  • Parliamentary Procedure recap
  • Strategies and techniques for dealing with difficult meetings.

FSBA realizes that chairs have faced many challenges running meetings this past year. Time will be spent providing tips and tools to help members navigate through future meetings.

Registration for this training is FREE with full registration fee for the Annual Joint Conference.
