The Annual Joint Conference, a collaborative effort of FSBA, FADSS, FELL, FERMA, FSBAA, and SUNSPRA, provides an opportunity for school board members, superintendents, district staff, and others to network, gain needed insight into the issues and events impacting education, and access valuable professional development opportunities.

The fees listed below cover Wednesday (Dec. 4) – Friday (Dec. 6) of the conference. *Chairmanship Academy and New School Board Member Academy will be held on Tuesday (Dec. 3) for an additional fee. Please see below.

FSBA’s Chairmanship Academy prepares board chairs and vice chairs with the guidance they need to be successful. This workshop includes tips, tactics, and techniques to build effective governance teams, conduct meaningful meetings, and fulfill governance responsibilities while focusing efforts to improve student learning and achievement. New School Board Member Academy | Tuesday (Dec. 3) | 7:30 am – 3:00 pm (Includes Continental Breakfast and Lunch.)

The New School Board Member Academy is a highly regarded professional development program. It is the first part of a two-part training series, with Part II taking place in the spring in conjunction with Day in the Legislature in Tallahassee. **WHAT TO DO IF THE ROOM BLOCK IS FULL**

We know this can be frustrating, but this is typical for our conferences. Rooms at the Grand Hyatt will become available soon, as we usually receive a significant number of cancellations in the coming weeks. These rooms will be added back into the block. The hotel’s cut-off date is November 4, so we recommend checking the link regularly in early October, well before that deadline.

In the meantime, you can reserve a room at the overflow hotel as a backup option.
