Last week, Speaker Sprowls and President Simpson released Covid-19 protocols for interim committee weeks and the tentative calendar for Week 1 (full memos below). Of note:
Senate
Will hold no more than three committees at one time
Will provide off-site viewing rooms for the public, with opportunity to virtually address committees
Will encourage Senators to meet only virtually with constituents during the month of January
Will require Covid-19 testing prior to each committee week
House Protocols
Alternating schedule to limit number of days members will need to be in Tallahassee
Will hold hour breaks between committees for sanitation
Will limit seating and socially distance within committee rooms
Will encourage members to meet virtually with constituents, and will require masks for those entering House meeting spaces
Requiring testing for members and staff
