Several bills passed favorably through committees yesterday (see list below), but SB 1216 Limitation on Terms of Office for Members of a District School Board by Senator Gruters was not considered in the Senate Ethics and Elections Committee due to lack of time. As a reminder, Senator Gruters has filed an amendment to change the bill from 12 years to 8 years. All term limit bills filed this year are prospective.

Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education met at 8:30 a.m. Chair Stargel reviewed Senate Budget recommendations (summary below) and pushed bills to tomorrow’s scheduled meeting.
