FSBA produces a variety of publications to support, inform, and assist our membership.  All of these publications are provided, free of charge, to FSBA members.  In addition, many of these publications may be accessed on this FSBA website and on FSBA’s BoardDocs site.  Some publications are available to non-FSBA members for a fee.

  • FSBA Membership Directory — The Directory provides detailed information — including the mailing address, phone numbers, e-mail address, and other contact information — for each school board member and superintendent.  Printed copies are available to non-FSBA members for $250.00 per copy.  Please contact the FSBA office at 850/414-2578 if you wish to obtain a copy.

  • FSBA Newsletter — Each month, FSBA publishes an electronic Newsletter to keep our members and others informed of the latest education news and events.  Each issue of our Newsletter is emailed to our members and is also posted on our Forms & Publications page.
  • Legislative Session Publications
    • FSBA Daily Update — Updates provide an account of each day’s legislative activities, action of education related bills, a preview of the next day’s legislative schedule, and other news and events.  The Daily Update is emailed to school board members, superintendents, selected district staff, and others.  To be added to the email distribution list for the FSBA Daily Update, please contact Ruth Melton.
    • Video Update — Each week, the FSBA Executive Director is featured in a Video Update in which key bills and issues are discussed.  These Video Updates are published on the FSBA website at the end of each week.
    • Legislative Session Summary — At the end of each legislative session, FSBA publishes a Legislative Session Summary that provides an in-depth analysis of education appropriations and detailed summaries of the education related bills that were passed during the Session.  The Legislative Session Summary is published on the FSBA website and hard copies are provided at FSBA’s Legislative Session Review Workshops that are conducted throughout the state.
  • Education Law Alert — The law firm of Sniffen & Spellman, P.A. provides, as a courtesy to FSBA, a monthly newsletter that highlights education related legal activities throughout the country.  Issues of Education Law Alerts may be accessed on our Education Legal News page in our Resource Room.
  • Informational Webinars — FSBA hosts webinars on a variety of topics of interest to school board members.  Some webinars focus on current hot topics while others focus on information and training on subjects of general interest.
