At least 10 Palm Beach County high schools reported problems logging into Florida’s statewide online writing exam Monday. The number is particularly troubling to school district officials who said that’s a light testing day and they worry what happens if the many more schools slated to begin testing tomorrow give it a shot.
Reports of problems began rolling in not an hour after first bell rang in some schools. Teachers – the district is still working to determine how many – were unable to make the initial log on that is needed before students can begin, said Mark Howard, the district’s chief of performance accountability.
About an hour after the first problems were reported, the district suspended testing for any students who hadn’t already begun to test.
