Dear Education Stakeholders,
We are pleased to announce the next steps for crafting Florida’s new educational standards in English language arts and mathematics, pursuant to Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 19-32, which seeks to ensure Florida has the best academic standards in the nation.
Attached are the second draft revisions to those standards in five documents, and you can also access them to provide feedback on individual standards at www.floridastandardsreview.org
Here are some highlights of the outreach conducted on the standards review to date:
Throughout the entire process, Florida Department of Education leadership have been in constant communication with over 30 organizations and stakeholders presenting and discussing the standards, including the
Florida Association of District School Superintendents and Florida PTA.
· The public feedback received is representative of 81 entities, including Florida school districts, and over 74,000 reviews submitted by the public.
