The Independent Benefits Council (IBC) earned high marks for its School Employee Saver campaign website and contests on Thursday at the annual Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Capital Chapter Image Awards, winning an Image Award and an Award of Distinction, respectively.
The IBC brings together the Florida Education Association, the Florida Association of School Administrators, the Florida School Boards Association and the Florida Association of District School Superintendents to improve benefits for school district employees around Florida.
The IBC teamed up with Salter>Mitchell to launch the School Employee Saver campaign and website last year to provide Florida public school employees a much-needed one-stop source for impartial information about retirement planning. Over a 10 month period, more than 5,000 public school employees visited the website to learn how to take control of their financial future.
The campaign also featured three Facebook contests that awarded more than $30,000 cash and prizes to participating school employees.
A big thank you to all who participated in making this campaign a success! For retirement savings best practices, financial planning toolkits and more, visit SchoolEmployeeSaver.com.
