TAMPA — Graduation rates for Florida’s class of 2015 are the highest the state has seen in 12 years, according to data released today by the Florida Department of Education.
Statewide, the percentage of students who completed high school within four years of enrolling in ninth grade increased to 77.8 percent – 1.7 percentage points higher than 2014’s rate and 18.6 percentage points higher than 2003-04.
In Hillsborough County, the graduation rate is 76 percent — 2.5 percentage points higher than 2013-2014 and 6.7 percentage points higher than 2010-2011. That year the statewide graduation rate was 70.6 percent.
