Last week, Governor Scott signed HB 7029 into law and its provisions will go into effect July 1, 2016 (unless otherwise stated in the bill). This far-reaching legislation addresses a variety of key education issues and is likely to have an impact on all students, personnel, schools, and school districts. FSBA has developed some materials to assist you in understanding and implementing this legislation. In addition to our detailed summary of the bill contained in our 2016 Legislative Session Summary, Part II and our webinar on legislation passed during the 2016 Session, we have created an Overview of HB 7029 that offers a quick reference outline of the key issues addressed in the bill.
