The Legislature is on track to approve the state budget this evening, bringing to a conclusion a long, and sometimes quarrelsome, legislative season. During the regular and special session, we did your best to keep you informed of the legislature’s progress in crafting the budget and to provide you with more specific information on the status of the education budget.
We have now completed Part II of our 2015 Legislative Session Summary that provides more detailed information. Part II includes a side-by-side comparison of education budget provisions for the current year with funding allocated in the 2015-2016 budget. In addition, Part II provides a reformatted version of the education related portions of budget with indicators highlighting the more relevant allocations to make it easier for you to access more information on any particular funding. You may access Part II of the FSBA 2015 Legislative Session Summary on the FSBA website in our 2015 Session Resource Center or you may use this direct link: https://fsba.org/wp-content/
Part II of our Session Summary is posted with some related materials, including the full state FEFP funding summary, and additional materials will be added as soon as they are completed or become available. In addition, we plan to conduct at least one webinar next week that will focus on the education budget – please watch your email for more information on the date and time for the webinar(s).
