Today at 1:30, the Senate Education Committee will take up several bills. Included on today’s agenda is SB 1498 School Turnaround (by Senator Baxley). The bill has a “delete everything” amendment that would merge the content of the bill with HB 7079 Assessment & Accountability (by Representative Aloupis). In addition, the committee will also take up SB 1634 Parental Rights (by Senator Stargel) that is designated the “Parents’ Bill of Rights.” The House will not meet today.
