Lee County school board members will lay the groundwork for setting goals and expectations for themselves and Superintendent Greg Adkins during a two-day workshop Friday and Saturday.
The first meeting, set for noon to 5 p.m. Friday, will take place at the Canal Street Support Services Annex in Fort Myers. The second, budgeted for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, will take place in the board room at the district office, 2855 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
“The goal is to clearly articulate for the governance team and public what the board’s expectations and goals are for the coming year — both for ourselves and the new superintendent,” explained Cathleen Morgan, board chair. “We have not been careful, thoughtful and specific when setting goals and holding ourselves and the superintendent accountable. So it’s good to get off to a new and fresh start with this new governance team.”
