Legislative Committee

Legislative Committee: Coordinates a systematic process to develop FSBA’s platform of state and federal priorities and positions, pursues legislative changes consistent with the adopted FSBA platform, and serves as key advocates for public education. In order to ensure equal representation on the Legislative Committee, the FSBA Bylaws call for each school board to designate a member and an alternate to serve on the Legislative Committee. The Legislative Committee includes two subcommittees: the Advocacy Subcommittee and the Federal Relations Subcommittee.

Chair: Jane Goodwin, Sarasota
Vice Chair: Chris Cowart, Levy
