One of our sharp-eyed readers noticed an error in our quick comparison of the FEFP funding amounts in the House and Senate education budget proposals. We’ve corrected the mistake and posted the revised side-by-side on our 2017 Legislative Session page under the “2017-2018 Education Budget Materials” tab – please click HERE for a direct link to the revised comparison.
Below is a link to our abbreviated daily report on the results of today’s committee actions. This will be our last abbreviated daily report and we thank you for your patience this week while the FSBA staff was focused on our New School Board Member Academy and on our Day in the Legislature Conference. There are no committee meetings of interest scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, March 31, so we will take advantage of that opportunity to begin to catch up on providing a more detailed report on this week’s bill action and provide the schedule for Monday, April 3, 2017. In addition, and as information becomes available, we will provide a more in-depth analysis of the House and Senate education budget proposals.
