Ensuring the health and safety of all students is a profound responsibility for school districts. Safety and health concerns arise in a broad variety of areas. Student transportation, school nutrition, school health clinics, disaster preparedness and response, non-discriminatory treatment, and school counseling and mental health services are only a few of the areas in which school boards work tirelessly for the welfare of children.
